How long have you been in business?
The Pensacola Cultural Center opened in 1992. Before its transformation into an arts center, the building served as Escambia County's Court of Records and Jail. The building was built in the early 20th center and opened in 1912.
What is your primary product or service?
The Pensacola Cultural Center is a home to Pensacola Little Theatre, Ballet Pensacola, and other arts organizations which have offices or use performance and rehearsal space in the building. Our facility is also home to Portabello Market restaurant, which is open for lunch on weekdays and available to cater events.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The Pensacola Cultural Center began as the realization of the dream for Pensacola Little Theatre to have a permanent home of its own. Pensacola Little Theatre incorporated in 1936 and utilized several locations around Pensacola until receiving the Court of Records building from Escambia County.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our historic building has a terrific ambience, and our rooms offer a variety of options for performances, meetings, receptions, and other events.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location. We do not plan to expand.

From I-110, take the Garden Street exit. At the second traffic light (Jefferson Street), turn left. We are a few blocks down at the corner of Jefferson and Zaragoza Streets.
From Highway 98, Gulf Breeze, cross the Pensacola Bay Bridge and follow the road to the left. That is Bayfront Parkway, which becomes Main Street. We are a few blocks down at the corner of Main and Jefferson Streets.

We are run by a Board of Trustees and our staff of seven handles daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Office hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm. Box Office hours are 10:00am to 5:30pm. Many days, we have staff on duty or security here until 10pm, due to rehearsals, performances, or events.
